Honestly, The Garden Cafe is such a vibe. It’s one of those rare spots that actually feels cozy and lived-in rather than try-hard. I went in last week and It’s super chilled out, perfect if you need to get some reading done or just want to decompress. The coffee is legit—not that burnt-tasting stuff you get at chains—and their pastries are dangerously good (definitely try whatever is fresh that morning). The staff are really nice too; they don't rush you out the door even when it gets a bit busy. It’s easily my favorite "hidden gem" in the neighborhood when I need a break from the usual chaos. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby.
Very friendly and warm atmosphere here. Breakfast burrito is ace! Coffee is good and tasty. I had a cortado and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Smooth creamy milk foam. The cinnamon roll is very tasty!
I was staying in an Airbnb right above this little cafe, so I decided why not check this place out. Very good espresso drinks with normal to average prices. They have a lot of options for drinks, including various syrups. Lots of residents seem to come in and out picking up drinks, which speaks to this cafe's quality! I would suggest checking them out.
I usually try the coffee creation of the month; never been disappointed. I also appreciate the gluten free options. Always enjoy the atmosphere.
Lovely shop in my neighborhood! Cozy, inviting, great place to strike up a chat. The staff today was beyond delightful and we traded all sorts of interesting trivia. I got a wonderful hot chocolate, and will come back for pastries! Parking available off street in the back too.
The owner is very kind and was nice to have a good conversation with upon closing. She made me a very good Americano and I also got a latte with 2 espresso shots and vanilla flavoring. The latte had a bit of an aftertaste, but nothing that would turn me away. The place is small, which is fine for me, and also good for people who want to come in and grab coffee and a bakery item. I also liked that I was not rushed.
This little coffee shop is a wonderful place that is doing great work to build community. They serve great coffee and great baked goods too. It’s a delight to go there every time.
Love this place so much! Drinks are delicious and well-made, pastries and sandwiches include some vegan offerings, and the space is cozy with a large accessible restroom which is stocked with harm reduction kits and reproductive health info kits. There is a community pantry as well as a free book library, and all these inclusions just feel really nice, and even though I don’t live near the cafe, I stop in at least once a week if I can. Nice location near 279 and 28. Can’t recommend it enough.
Really enjoyed this coffee shop! The regular coffee and latte were both very good, and the bacon, egg, and cheese on sourdough made for a great breakfast sandwich. The staff were friendly, and we appreciated the dog-friendly outdoor seating as well. We ended up coming every day while we were in town. Highly recommend!
Love the cozy atmosphere inside and that they offer an outdoor ordering window too! They may special “Lady Bug Latte” is so refreshing if you love strawberries and glad it was not too sweet or overpowering the coffee flavor! Cannot wait to come back and try more off the menu. :) The parking lot in the back is a nice plus and there is some street parking close if the lot is full.
